For Thursday, please complete the following:
1. Read the syllabus and mark any questions you have.
2. Email to blemieux@siu.edu your preferred email address (so I can contact you during the semester).
3. Get the textbooks & other necessary materials for this class (outlined in the syllabus).
4. Read "Teach a Kid to Argue" and "The Elements of Clunk."
5. In about one (typed, double-spaced) page, respond to these two articles. What argument does each author make? To what extent do you agree with these two men? Why do you think I assigned you these readings at the beginning of the semester?
